Field Technian

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a FIELD TECHNICIAN to join our client in Washington, DC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reads/interprets schematics, printouts and specifications as needed to complete tests to determine the functionality of function area.
- Ensures testing instruments are calibrated and verified on a regular basis.
- Participates with the debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing procedures, equipment, products etc.
- Creates new test programs/procedures as needed for new technology.
- Core: Applies developed knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete a wide variety of difficult assignments/tasks.
- Thorough understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.
- Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature and require ordinary problem resolution and independent judgment.
- Works under limited supervision and normally receives no instructions on routine work and general instructions given for new assignments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience repairing PC systems both hardware and software is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot common issues with Microsoft Outlook.
- Comfortable working directly with customers (users) to resolve issues.
- Able to take direction. Able to prioritize tasks.
- Candidates who demonstrate ownership in their tasks and possess a knack for self-starting when needed to are appreciated. Looking for a candidate that can start at 8 AM.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Bonus if the candidate also possesses experience with MACs.
