Projektbeschreibung

Field Support Engineer required to provide operational and maintenance support contributing to operation of a full motion flight simulator facility. This facility is operated by our customer and is located on-site with their customer in Yeovilton.

The candidate will be required to work a rotating shift pattern with the other maintenance technicians.

Typical activities will include:
Working to the allotted shift pattern(s).
Ensuring system is ready and available for training at the designated times.
Performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on STE iaw relevant standards.
Performing daily inspections.
Annual validation of STE performance.
Maintenance of Quality Assurance records and updating maintenance logs.
Monitoring system availability daily, measuring monthly and reporting annually.
Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.
Providing details of any STE issues or concerns during shift handover.
Liaison with and support to OEMs during complex corrective maintenance activities.
Providing sickness cover during other Maintenance Technician's absence.
Monitoring and managing spares inventory and consumption rates.
Reporting and investigating any excessive or unexpected spares consumption rates.
Fault finding. Investigation and resolution.
Preparing failure reports and entering data in a FRACAS database.
Arranging calibration of equipment as required, including test equipment.
Powering down systems safely after use.
Acting as "Key Orderlies" to unlock and secure the building as required.
Housekeeping and administrative tasks as required.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Practical hands-on experience with the maintenance and repair of Full Mission Simulators, Flight Training Devices, Cockpit Procedures Trainers, Aircraft Systems Trainers and Weapon/Avionic Systems Trainers.
Practical experience on simulator support systems (including but not limited to Lesson Planning/Scenario Generation Stations, After Action Review Systems, Instructor Operating Stations, etc) and Maintenance Training Equipment.
HNC/D in Electronic engineering.
17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
Proven ability to fault find or diagnose and perform detailed investigations using system diagrams, schematics and other technical documentation for electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical equipment.
Experienced in the use of test equipment for fault diagnosis, maintenance and calibration activities. IT Literate (Using MS Office® as well as bespoke training system applications). Hold a valid driving licence.
Medically fit and able to perform the Maintenance Technician's duties.
Able to restart software applications or reboot systems.
Articulate and able to communicate effectively with all personnel verbally and in writing. Willingness to be flexible in terms of working time.
Experience with helicopter flight simulators.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
