FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN LOS ANGELES, CA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

Join our Field Service Team as the Subject Matter Expert for one of our top client s retail store locations in your assigned territory covering all of their IT support needs. Paid training with a one year commitment.

MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL OUT OF STATE 3/4 WEEKS A MONTH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assure continuity of the computer system for all system users.
- Install selected software and hardware products.
- Repair hardware as necessary and work closely with service vendors and OEMs to ensure continuity of service.
- Resolve problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.
- Be well organized and pay close attention to detail.
- Be on-call for all periods assigned and willing to work overtime if required.
- Meet physical demands of the position including the ability to lift and handle up to 45 lbs. of materials, bend, stoop and stretch as required for placement and retrieval of materials or equipment on shelving.
- Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible concerns.
- Have a great sense of urgency and embrace teamwork.
- Provide Smart Hands support for networking equipment (Switches, Routers, etc.).
- Provide territory coverage with limited or no overnight travel.
- Provide on-site support in a call center environment (break-fix and IMAC Support).
- Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed.
- Assist in implementing practices that will more effectively streamline support capabilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Associate's Degree or equivalent technical education/experience
- Requires 1-5 years of related work experience
- A+ Hardware Certification
- Ability to work effectively without supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Creative thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Customer-focused with a heightened sense of urgency to resolve customer issues
- Uses best judgment and has quick decision making skills
- Wireless networking experience preferred
- POS and retail IT network experience a plus
