Field Service Technician

A well known electronics company is seeking a Field Service Technician/CO2 Technician. This rewarding technician position requires 90% travel and a road warrior mentality. Ideal candidates are based out of the Chicago, Illinois surrounding area. Or based out of Atlanta, Missouri, or Tennessee as long as they are located near a major airport. The majority of travel will within the USA, with occasional trips to Canada and Mexico.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain product knowledge on all changes related to products in the Rebuild and CO2 group
- Have a basic understanding of Mazak or comparable CO2 laser cutting machines
- Support sales force in maintaining relationships and satisfying technical customer requirements
- Maintain communications with parts management and CO2 developments trends and ensure quality CO2 machinery

REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to travel 90% of the time.
- 2 year industry exerience is preferred.
- Previous electromechanical and Laser experience is a must.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge is a must
- Must be able to perform repair work of CO2 and Surface Mount Equipment (SMT)
- CO2 laser cutting machinery troubleshooting, cleaning, alignments, diagnostics, beam analysis, and safety
- Strong communication capabilities, including presentation skills are required
