Field Inspector, Previous C&E or Outside I&M Experience

Provide field inspections of cable/fiber placement and/or cable fiber splicing and/or construction work across the enterprise.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform field inspections of cable/fiber placement and/or cable fiber splicing and/or construction work, pre-survey of construction packages, data preparation and documentation in reporting field results.
- Attend field meetings with client personnel, as well as, government agencies and construction contractors.
- Track, monitor and update databases or other work groups on job status.
- Prepare work requests, verify as correct change orders and/or invoices, complete documentation on job progress or issues surrounding job, review all documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting.
- Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience

SKILLS

- Working knowledge in underground utility construction, including manhole and conduit construction.
- Working knowledge of engineering prints, ability to understand and interpret PUE and ROW recommendation.
- Knowledge of Outside Plant Safety and Procedures (GO95, GO128 and NEC as applicable).
- Can be Customer facing at times.
- Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Previous C&E or outside I&M experience
- Strong communication Skills
