One of Australia's leading telecommunications provider is in search of an experienced FIELD ENGINEER who will be responsible for maintaining and administering the local network and related technical equipment for the key clientèle. Based in CANBERRA this is a permanent opportunity that will provide a substantial remuneration package and the opportunity to work with a leading Telco organisation.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR;

- Managing and conducting equipment and system level service assurance/installation activities;
- Maintaining the fibre optic network;
- Providing on-site complex technical support and will be required to be on call;
- Installation, commissioning and testing of Network and Customer Equipment;
- Acceptance/improvement of field based planned solutions and;
- Knowledge of OHS and Australian Installation practices.

CORE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; 

- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a field engineer/fibre optic engineer position and hold extensive field based experience;
- Experience in implementation of network construction, installation, acceptance and assurance;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision whilst acting independently and taking initiative;
- Telecommunications Certificate or tertiary qualifications in the communication industry;
- Ability to travel and perform out of hours work as required; 
- Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
