The Role

Responsibilities will include the supervision of contractors during the construction phase of capital projects. To drive compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule and to quality standards. The projects could be single, multi-area or multi-disciplined.
You will be responsible for the inspection of drawings, specifications, code and EHS requirements. The preparation of daily reports on project safety, environment and quality issues. Reports on project progress, manpower, technical decisions and equipment present and use. Respond to Information requests, non- conformance reports and field change documents.
The review of contractor compliance certification and ITP's.
To manage project completion, operational readiness (AOR) and handover process. To lead and control the identification, tracking and close out of snags, the preparation of the handover documents such as PA3 forms, Health and Safety files and Contractor Compliance Certification.
A "can do" attitude is essential with the ability to build relationships.

The Candidate

Chartered Engineer or Architect with a demonstrable experience in the Design/Construction of infrastructure projects with experience in Airport Projects desirable.
Must have demonstrable experience in the testing, commissioning and handover, Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) of Airport Facilities is desired.
Thorough understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental issues relating to the construction industry.
Must be IT literate with all MS Office packages.
