FIELD BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVES LONDON- BIRMINGHAM- MANCHESTER

EMPLOYER

Artis is a performing arts education company that stimulates creativity and excellence in primary schools and we are looking for experienced and motivated business development executives who would enjoy selling our creative programmes.

ROLE

This is a flexible hours Freelance Contract for the current academic year (September 2014 to July 2015), working from home and in the field. Subject to performance, the contract is renewable for the following academic years.

The right candidate is an enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a passion for creative learning. He or she will organise meetings with Head teachers and present our creative programmes, which focus on learning through music, drama, dance and film to address priorities such as numeracy, language development, communications, low self-esteem and appropriate behaviour.

Candidates with all sales backgrounds or aspirations are welcome to apply as full training will be provided; experience in the education industry is an advantage.

We are looking to recruit...

• 3 candidates for London area to cover North London, East London and West London within the M25.

• 2 candidates for Birmingham area to cover Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton or Coventry and the nearby locations

• 1 candidate for Manchester area to cover Manchester, Oldham, Stockport, Salford, Bolton, Rochdale or Cheshire and the nearby locations

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend minimum 80 meetings per academic year

• Conduct consultative sales meeting with Head teachers, send proposals and do follow-up calls to prospective new schools

• Use a CMR database effectively, to manage the sales pipeline

• Meet set annual company targets in your allocated area

• Approach local organisations and schools to generate meetings attend local conferences

• Maintain a working knowledge of the primary education sector, including an awareness of the competition.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Previous sales experience with positive and empathetic personality is a must

• Having your own car (except in London) and a mobile phone as well as a computer with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 2007 (or more recent) is also essential

• Excellent organisation skills

• Professional demeanour

• High resilience

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong ability to foster meaningful relationships

• Proficiency using Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and the Internet for tracking and follow up are essential

• Knowledge of Sales Force CRM is an advantage

• Ability to think of creative methods in generating new business

POTENTIAL EARNINGS

20 hours a week / FTE OTE £40,000 Uncapped commission based earning with 11 month retainer.

The candidate needs to have sufficient flexibility to work more hours during term time and fewer hours during half term breaks and school holiday.

Any travel costs you may incur as a freelancer to and from the meeting will be tax deductible via your self-assessment tax return. Detailed financial package with fees and commissions can be provided upon application.
