FIBER TESTER - ICT - MOUNTAIN VIEW WITH 80% TRAVEL TO SOUTH AMERICA - LONG-TERM CONTRACT - $40-45/HR

Key Words - Fiber Tester, OTDR, CMD, ORL, Insertion Loss, Attenuation Test, ITU Standards, DWDM, Optical transmission, design, simulation, analysis

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

- 5 years relevant experience/degree preferred, ideally in Electrical Engineering
- Excellent Fiber testing - OTDR/PMD/CMD/ORL - experience
- Insertion Loss/Attenuation Testing experience
- Fault finding and analysis of fiber optic test results
- Ability to design and execute system test plans
- Documentation skills - documenting results of test and system designs and to survey and document existing fiber/infrastructure networks
- Acceptance testing
- Experience of performing formal and informal training on solutions and technology as required
- Valid drivers license and Passport for travel
