We are a leading Authority, managing an adventurous programme to transform our corporate estate and schools both secondary and primary throughout the Borough. As a leader in education outsourcing, our determination to improve is backed by successful PFI projects and a focus on the future. We have the following vacancy and need the right person to join our programmes team to help us secure our successful delivery of an ambitious programme.
Can you use your project management skills to be an advocate for good design? are you able to influence a project team to create well thought out commercial or school facilities, where fittings, furniture and equipment are suitably integrated with the built fabric and ICT, make a difference to the experience of the users and staff alike. Can you represent the communities of Waltham Forest and manage on their behalf, the procurement of fittings, furniture and equipment for the remainder of our BSF Programme? This involves working with a myriad of partners including our Local Education Partnership and our schools to ensure that we achieve innovation design solutions that inspire learners and teachers to raise standards.
you may have particular experience of either commercial or school's furniture and equipment, but more important is an understanding of the design process for major projects, and the ability to engage with the end user groups to define their requirements and work with a contractor's multi-discipline design team in a partnership relationship.
