Fertilizer Analyst - Market Economics

My client based in central London and is a leading International Energy Consultancy assessing markets and companies operating across the commodities industry.

The Growing analytics team is seeking an experienced analyst with excellent econometrics and statistics skills to build out a Nitrogen desk. This challenging position involves researching supply and demand for nitrogen, urea and ammonia markets whilst working on our regular portfolio of products.

The Team:

The Analytics team serves clients in different sectors of the industry, providing a vast array of publications covering forecasts, market outlooks and cost reports. The client base ranges from the largest fertilizers companies to integrated medium-sized players, mining companies, in addition to banks and investors.

The role:

The Markets Analyst will contribute to forecasting and analysis products covering the nitrogen markets, while using and improving consistent analysis models and tools. The successful candidate is expected to heighten his/her fertilizers industry expertise through this role, specializing in the nitrogen, urea and ammonia markets, while collaborating on global assignments with colleagues in China, India and USA. An essential requisite is a solid understanding of industry's issues and implications to clients, to improve and review current products and develop new ones.

Candidate Requirements:

- Good quality relevant first degree (e.g. Engineering, Economics or Chemistry)
- Knowledge of nitrogen markets, and/or related markets such oil and gas.
- Experience of market analysis covering areas such as supply, demand and pricing.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
