Feature Engineer Payments

We are looking for a FEATURE ENGINEER PAYMENTS. This is a very innovative (agile) role in the banking sector in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) for 6 months + extensions.

As a Feature Engineer you will work together with Domain Architects, IT Managers, DevOps engineers and business colleagues you ensure that business epics are translated into working IT solutions.

You play a key role in the breakdown of these epics into features, in a sequence that delivers customer value as soon as possible, from the creation of roadmaps for the upcoming quarters to actual realization.

You have a holistic view and from an extensive knowledge of the current state you are a knowledgeable partner in technology or business discussions. Your success is not based on your hierarchical position, but based on your results delivered, extensive knowledge of current and future state and your added value and for the teams you work with.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will need to have knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Continuous Delivery and preferably extensive knowledge of banking systems and Wholesale Banking. You have the ability to make key changes in small steps.

EXPERIENCE:

- Multiple years of experience in the Account Reporting domain and demonstrates deep functional knowledge of the business domain (end to end); knowing how business processes utilize IT solutions;
- Track record in reducing complexity and reducing technical debt;
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Scaling, Continuous Delivery, automated testing;

YOUR DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

- You develop features iterative, aligned to the rhythms of the DevOps teams within your domain.
- You are able to develop and deliver features in an agile context and are able to implement these in an E2E context covering all functional and non-functional aspects in close collaboration with multiple DevOps teams.
- You as a feature engineer organize the interaction with the DevOps teams in your domain.
- In your day-to-day work you ensure that the way of working, procedures, organization and all output delivered are continuously improved.
- From a strategic business & IT context you deliver more detailed implementation roadmaps.
- You can slice and refine these roadmaps until the level of concrete user stories.
- You align stakeholders within all levels of the ING organization, from CIO to engineer and from product owner to internal ING user, all with the ING customer journey in mind.
- You have and maintain knowledge of the current state and future state implementations and can define the steps towards the target landscape.
- You will determine correlation and dependencies between E2E, Business Function, COPAF aspects and Platform DevOps teams and ensure backlogs are aligned (sync to the rhythm of the DevOps teams)
- You adhere to the principles of Continuous Delivery and are familiar with the capabilities and frameworks within continuous build, continuous testing and continuous deployment.
- You use these capabilities and are able to setup and improve the capabilities and frameworks.
- You are able to translate domain specifics into your day-to-day work.
- You are able to translate new product services into required IT solutions and are able to grasp business opportunities from new technology solutions.
