Family Court Advisors | Chelmsford

We have exciting opportunities for Family Court Advisors to be based in Chelmsford, Essex. You will be working directly with vulnerable children and families to advise the family courts on the best course of action for the child or young person. At the heart of this, you will provide case analysis and recommendations to the court, where the needs of each child leap from the pages of your report.

You will work with parents, relatives, local authorities and the courts and demonstrate your understanding of what the child needs, wants and feels.

Applicants will need recent duty experience in Children's Services as well as at least 3 years statutory post qualifying experience, with recent experience of private law work and writing section 7 reports.

You will be social work qualified, registered with the HCPC and experienced at working with highly vulnerable children and families. You will be an expert in safeguarding, child engagement, inter-agency working, case analysis, planning and recording. You will need to be resilient and organised, have the ability to work proportionately, with strong IT skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
