Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) invites applications for a faculty position at all levels in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department (+BME).

The Department delivers a growing undergraduate BME program with approximately 380 students. Over 60 graduate students enrolled in the Biomedical Engineering graduate program are pursuing MS, ME and PhD degrees. The BME Department is housed in the recently completed WPI Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center at Gateway Park (), a state-of-the art, mixed-use research facility dedicated to biomedical and life sciences research.

Founded in 1865, WPI is one of the nation's first technological universities. A highly selective private university located within an hour of Boston, WPI is consistently ranked among the top 60 research institutions by US News biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, imaging of molecular and cellular processes, microfluidics, BioMEMS, nanotechnology, biomaterials, drug delivery, bioinformatics, biosignal processing, and biosensors. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in BME or a closely related field and a commitment to excellence in both research and teaching.
