Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator

My client a leading Australian company is looking or a Services and Support facilities Coordinator to join their team on an initial 3 month contract basis with possibility of extension or permanent role. The successful candidate will work as a member of the facilities and maintenance team to ensure a high level of facilities and workshop equipment serviceability and availability.

Responsibilities:

- Preventative maintenance delivery
- Facilities maintenance
- Workshop tools and support equipment maintenance
- Unscheduled repairs and maintenance delivery
- Coordination of landlord managed maintenance
- Inputs to continuous improvement of maintenance management system
- Preventative maintenance plan improvements
- Bringing new equipment into the system
- The HSE contractor management system
- Proactively identifying workplace hazards and working with the Operations team to resolve
- Participating in HSE risk assessments of new and existing plant, support equipment and facilities items
- Control of contractors while onsite:
- Induction and ensuring all HSE requirements are met by the contractor
- Ensuring adequacy of risk assessments
- Issuing permits for work
- Monitoring of contractors work
- Accepting completion of contractor works
- Ensuring all contractor management documentation is maintained
- Ensuring all documents and electronic records of maintenance activity are maintained in accordance with Thales and regulatory requirements
- Participate in annual budget reviews and planning
- Carry out repairs and maintenance as required that comply with personal qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Construction Induction
- Drivers license
- Electrical license
- Maintenance management qualifications
- Strong computer skills with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience coordinating facilities and support equipment maintenance using a maintenance management tool
- Experience managing contractors from engagement to completion of work
- Experience in reviewing job safety analysis and safe work method statements
- Experience in issuing work permits
- An understanding of Hazardous Area Electrical installations
- Cert III or above in HSE
- Construction industry induction
- Confined Space Entry Course
- Experience in LEAN practices
- Working at heights qualifications and a sound understanding of the requirements
