My Plymouth based client is looking for a Facilities and Estates Procurement and Contracts Manager/Facilities and Estates Procurement Manager/Facilities and Estates Contracts Manager for a 6 month contract. This role will be based in Plymouth or Nottingham with regular travel between both locations.
The Facilities and Estates Procurement and Contracts Manager/Facilities and Estates Procurement Manager/Facilities and Estates Contracts Manager role:
Supporting the Head of Property Asset Management, the Head of Facilities and the Facilities Management team, working in a cross functional role.
Provide direct procurement support for management of major suppliers to the client in the Property and Facilities Management categories. This includes TFM contract with Carillion, energy & water, furniture and estates professional advisors.
Activities include:
*Defining/delivering the contract management supplier strategy
*Liaison with service delivery manager and other stakeholders
*Work with supplier to create and maintain a joint risk register
*Offering advice and guidance on, or improving input into, writing work package orders and change orders in consultation with customers, challenging the specification where appropriate
*Provision of advice to service delivery manager on interpretation of contractual documentation
*Develop and implement performance measurement processes to ensure contracted service levels are met and value for money is achieved through life of the contract
*Identification and evaluation of commercial and supply issues
*Leading regular contract management meetings with suppliers, service delivery managers and other key stakeholders
*Overseeing the supplier relationship management & management of supplier intelligence information received.
*Developing the effectiveness of contract management operations under the principles of continuous improvement
Skills needed for the Facilities and Estates Procurement and Contracts Manager/Facilities and Estates Procurement Manager/Facilities and Estates Contracts Manager role:
*Knowledge & understanding of Facilities and Estates procurement
*Must be a strong communicator able to deliver results by proactive, positive and persuasive means.
*Expertise in managing large contracts, supplier relationships and the supply chain
*Knowledge & understanding of NEC3 contract
*Knowledge, understanding and expertise in Government procurement, including associated UK and EU Regulations
