FAA Repair Technician Job

FAA REPAIR TECHNICIANS are needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in PHOENIX, AZ.

- Manager is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic candidates who would like to learn new skills and be a reliable addition to his team.
- Candidates need basic manufacturing or labor experience, they do not necessarily need previous repair experience. Manager is looking for candidates who want to work and will be reliable- he is willing to spend extra time training and getting employees up to speed as long as they show willingness to learn.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Account for all parts received in kits to be constructed.
- Responsible for cleaning the work area and all parts to be repaired.
- Prepares and cleans fabrics in preparation for adhesion.
- Fabricate Parts IAW (in accordance with) drawings, CMM's, MRA's, and SB's
- Align marks on fabric to ensure pieces adhere correctly.
- Mix adhesives.
- Cements parts following designated markings with adhesives.
- Adheres material together, requiring stretching of fabric due to changes in size and expansion during use.
- Assembles product in preparation for inspection.
- Inspects units for defects and repairs as needed.
- Folds and prepare units per procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- HS Diploma from accredited institution or GED
- Ability to wear and utilize respiratory protection
- Ability to pass a required DOT drug test and be a part of a random testing program (due to FAA/DOT requirements).
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to make accurate measurements.
- Ability to operate sewing machines.
- This position requires knowledge of several different types of fabric repairs that come in for maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of tolerances and how to remain within tolerances.
- Ability to read and understand manuals, Repair procedures, diagrams and blueprints.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Working Conditions - Physical requirements and environment
- 100% of time spent on production floor with moderate noise, requiring safety glasses.
- Constant, daily exposure to adhesive and solvent vapors.
- Approximately 75% of time spent standing. Ability to bend, stoop, crawl as required.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to wear knee-pads and other PPE as required.
- This is a six (6) month contract, paying between $11.50 per hour.
