PERSON SPECIFICATION

This Independent Prep School in central South East London is looking for a Reception teacher to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team from September 2015. The school is an "outstanding" (ISI) prep school which is easily accessible from many areas of London via over ground, bus or own transport.

You will be an enthusiastic and passionate Primary trained EYFS experienced teacher. The school are hoping to recruit a self-motivated practitioner who can deliver fun and enjoyable lessons that will inspire young minds and achieve results.

SCHOOL DESCRIPTION:

The school is guided by the National Curriculum and so the Head is looking for a Reception teacher who has experience working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The school has a welcoming and inclusive ethos and an extremely friendly staff team.

The school has well-behaved pupils and class sizes no larger than 16 children. The school places an emphasis on extracurricular pursuits such as the Arts and Sports, as well as an emphasis on academic success. Within early years the overall wellbeing of students is highly valued, with children achieving academically, socially and spiritually.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

As the school follows the National Curriculum you will need a formal teaching qualification with QTS, as well as at least one year of UK teaching experience within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), preferably as a Reception teacher. You will need to be able to provide two recent teaching related references. The successful candidate be familiar and confident with the new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
