External Supply Supoprt Manager - FMCG Factory

JOB TITLE: External Supply Support Manager           

DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain

LOCATION: Coleford, Gloucestershire 

OVERVIEW AND JOB PURPOSE:

To manage a portfolio of contract suppliers for the Lucozade Ribena Suntory business, ensuring that business requirements for quality, cost and delivery are fulfilled.

Manage the delivery of NPD and Technical Transfers into the Contract Supply base as required, ensuring all processes are Embedded and the legal requirements are fulfilled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, SCOPE FOR DECISION MAKING, KPI's:    

- Manage the ongoing working relationships within External Supply and ensure that the third party suppliers are capable of sustaining the delivery and quality performance required by the client.
- Manage NPD initiatives within the External Supply base working closely with the appropriate supplier, Central Technical Organisation and Commercial teams.
- In conjunction with CTO and the appropriate factory departments, ensure relevant procedural documents for the control of contractor operations are produced for inclusion in the Document Dossier.
- Manage the operational performance of a portfolio of contractors, ensuring relevant KPI's are captured and manage Contractor review meetings as appropriate.
- Provide support, where necessary, for all contractors to develop systems for continuous improvement programs for production, quality and financial performance. Using Operational Excellence and Lean Sigma tools and methodologies as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

FMCG FACTORY AND SUPPLY CHAIN EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION PREFERRED.

STRONG MANAGEMENT, ORGANISATIONAL, INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN WORKING WITH DIVERSE (BOTH CULTURALLY AND GEOGRAPHICALLY) EXTERNAL ORGANISATIONS

KNOWLEDGE OF GMP PRACTICES AND THE IMPACT OF MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES.

KNOWLEDGE OF QUALITY AUDITING PROCEDURES WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE.

KNOWLEDGE OF OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE/LEAN SIGMA TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES AN ADVANTAGE.
