External Audit Executive

EXTERNAL AUDIT EXECUTIVE

ACA, CA, ACCA, UK GAAP, IFRS

My client, a big 4 consultancy, is looking for a number of External Auditors to join their Audit and Assurance practice on a contract basis.

They are looking for qualified accountants (ACA/CA/ACCA) with external audit experience that understand UK GAAP or IFRS frameworks experience:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP or IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters
- Demonstrate expertise in using GAM to perform an assurance engagement in compliance with auditing standards
- Act as a role model for more junior members of the team, providing on-the-job coaching.
- Adhere to the firm's risk management policies at all times, delivering work to the highest quality
- Effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
- Lead and manage fieldwork on client sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process.
- Demonstrate Business Development skills and identify additional sales opportunities

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Honours Degree qualified (or equivalent)
- ACA/CA/ACCA (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute or equivalent international qualification) -preferably first time passes
- Excellent technical expertise with proven industry knowledge
- External Audit Experience
- Use of IFRS or UK GAAP frameworks
- Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements across the Energy Industry, but we would consider people from other backgrounds.
