Export Compliance Officer

Modis are currently recruiting for a Trade/Export Compliance Officer with minimum of 3 years experience in the day to day management of UK Imports and Exports for a large Defence & Aerospace company based in the Bristol area.

The successful candidate will be given a 2 year contract with my client and must have experience with UK Export regulations on civil and military goods.

Essential:

Self-motivated individual with ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues on all compliance matters.
Computer Literacy.
Competency in basic software packages.
Experience of UK and EAR regulations
Experience in dealing with BIS/HMR&C
Minimum 3 years experience in Imports/Exports
HNC or equivalent qualification
Experience and formal training may be substituted for education requirement

Desirable:

Experience of working in an office environment.
Experience of SAP.
Knowledge of ITAR/US Export legislation

Standard 37 hours a week + paid overtime.
