Expert Network/Security Architect

Network Architect/Security Engineer
The expert network architect will participate in different network/security related projects, touching network architectures from different kinds: datacenter networks, WAN networks, remote site networks.
He/She will need a good transverse knowledge on all network domains:
LAN switching, WAN routing (OSPF, BGP), MPLS, Wi-Fi principles, QoS primarily based on Cisco technologies and network security competencies typically on devices like Firewalls, proxies, load balancers, primarily Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, Citrix, F5 technologies.
Participates in defining the strategic and tactical lines of the IT Master Plan for the Group's infrastructure plus the path for implementing and deploying them.
Assess the requirements (new requirements or developments of existing ones) in terms of infrastructure in your field.
Puts forward possible solutions. He/she documents the feasibility and the financial impact of the alternatives proposed and he/she chooses the solutions that best correspond to the strategy laid down in this IT Master Plan for the infrastructure
Supports the E-Connectivity team and Project Manager and provides guidance for them in defining and describing in detail the infrastructure architecture for each project for the purposes of technical studies.
Assures maintenance of the architecture infrastructure referencing in his/her field, so as to produce complete, consistent documentation of the current infrastructure landscape.
Defines, designs the maintenance of infrastructure norms and standards in his/her field, so as to bring a consistent response to current and foreseeable requirements.
Network: very good all-round knowledge on network and security technologies:
LAN switching, WIFI, Quality of Service, spanning tree (Cisco hardware).
Routing: BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
WAN provider environments, WAN optimization, Ipanema, Riverbed.
Datacenter network environments: DC core switching (Cisco Nexus).
Security: good understanding of network security components.
Nextgen Firewalls, proxies, VPN, pki, load balancers etc (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5, Bluecoat ).
Nice to have
Previous hands-on experience with network/security equipment.
Experiences with system architectures (server, OS, VM, SAN ).
Experiences with network performance management tooling.
Languages
English (well-spoken + reading/writing).
French and/or Dutch (very well spoken + reading/writing).
Personality
to the point, regular and transparent communication.
good presentation skills.
adapted management and also to technical teams facilitating skills, resulting in compromises between different stakeholders (technical/non-technical).
Assertive.
Convincing.
can work independent (to lead studies) but also in team.
