Experienced Troubleshooter//Embedded, C/C++ and Linux Kernel

Projektbeschreibung
A highly skilled Troubleshooter with experience in C/C++, Embedded and Linux Kernel is required by a client for System Assurance for an initial 5 month contract with a potential for an extension.
In this role you will work as part of a team, and work on client sites where you will be involved in the entire product development cycle from start to release. Regarding scope of the software exposure you will be working with low level software to higher level user interface. Additionally you will be analysing software behaviour, locating problem areas and recommending solutions and improvements within the software. Additionally, within this role you may become involved in developing new and existing processes and tools to improve software debugging efficiency.
Competencies and Requirements:
-The applicant will have a PhD or a Masters in computer science, electrical engineering or an equivalent and have sufficient skills with mentoring others.
-Low level software (primarily Assembler) experience:
oThe right candidate will have the skills to write and understand Assembler/machine code; this is primarily for fault-localising 3rd part software.
-The applicant shall have a deep understanding of how large systems are linked together and how they interact.
-Linux/Unix/Posix experience:
oThe applicant should have a deep knowledge and understanding of Linux/Unix/Posix userland; including the processes, threads, file descriptors, system calls.
-Real Time Embedded systems
oThe right candidate will have a true knowledge of the demands that a built-in system requires, eg Real Time constraints, memory constraints, power save and performance tuning within a system with limited resources. In addition they will have extensive experience and skills in race conditions, mutex, and locks.
-The applicant shall have expert level knowledge of C/C++ and Java.
