Experienced Mechanical Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEER to join our client in St. Louis, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for all aspects of the development from concept through detailed design, fabrication, testing, installation and support of a wide variety of automated analytical research and production equipment. The equipment may range from handheld tools, to benchtop opto-electronic devices, to large-scale, high-throughput automated research equipment.
- The Mechanical Engineer is expected to take a significant hands-on role in the ideation, mechanical design and development of these automated research and production systems.
- The individual is expected to work well within a multidiscipline engineering team and to effectively coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Software Engineers, and Biotechnologists.
- Independently research topics and provide technical innovation for other engineers in design, production and testing of industrial automation equipment.
- Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. M
- May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- At least eight (8) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Five (5) plus years of experience with Solidworks
- Automation skills with Robotics
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
