POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for an Exotic Derivatives Operations Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of Operations Analyst, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

- Is responsible for processing of Exotic Derivatives within agreed deadlines, this will include validation of trades and managing/adjusting trades as they go through their life cycle
- Actively processes support and control tasks related to the Exotic Trading Desks
- Has detailed knowledge of Exotic OTC and Securitised Products
- Acts as a point of contact for day to day BAU support for TMG activities
- Timely processing of exceptions relating to day to day BAU support of the Exotic processing function
- Identifies and communicates problems and issues to the team manager and is responsible for the timely action of tasks to resolve the issue
- Manages and organises own tasks to maximise effectiveness
- Manages time and processes effectively

COMPETENCIES:

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- An understanding of basic Derivative products
- Experience of working within Middle Office/Operations ideally within an Investment Bank
- Experience of managing a team/mentoring junior members of a team
