The role involves resolving IT problems both remotely and on site, providing a high level of customer service and guidance to users. Co-ordination of software/hardware roll outs and aspects of projects are another dimensional of the role. Experience in a VIP/Executive IT Support capacity will be vital, preferably in a financial/ investment banking environment. An understanding of both Hardware and Software is necessary, for example Desktop Applications, Cisco, Sharepoint and Market Data. While technical proficiency is extremely important, as this is a VIP support role, equally as vital is a strong customer focused approach and relationship management skills.
