Exchange GUI Developer

A high frequency quantitative hedge fund in Manhattan is looking for a talented developer to join its infrastructure team to design, develop and manage key infrastructure components. Responsibilities will include scaling the firms DB infrastructure architecture, improving performance to support their rapidly growing data set, and developing rich UI web applications for trader use. Minimal Requirements: * 3+ years C++ experience * At least 1 year of professional experience focusing on back-end web development and database administration * Proven success in a large-scale, high-throughput environment - preferably a rich UI consumer-facing website Working experience with HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and general Web 2.0 techniques using 3rd party frameworks * Deep knowledge of MySQL, InnoDB, and Linux * Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl) If you are interested, please apply directly to this ad.
