Functional Domain

Within the domain IT Financial Markets Department, we are currently looking for a TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER (1ST & 2ND LEVEL) to be part of the TRAS Team (TRading Applications Support).

Responsabilities

The TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER'S responsibilities cover:

- Support
- Performing morning check
- Daily management of the applications (identification and solving of issues)
- Management of end users requests raised by phone or group mailbox (assessment and prioritisation)
- Support in the design of efficient processes for information requests and incident management
- Control of the packages before implementation
- Implementation of application releases: test cases development, tests in the last phase of the project, acceptation tests
- Incident Management
- Registration, follow-up, and documentation of incidents (HPSC tool is used)
- Preparation of standard incident reporting
- Problem management
- Identification, solution and follow-up of problems (HPSC tool is used)
- Preparation of operational reports required for an efficient problem management
- User management
- Management of information requests in relation with the supported applications
- Communication to end users in relation with incidents, problems, requests (issue localisation/identification and solution)
- Management of users profiles

Education

- You are IT educated or have a similar experience
- You have 3-7 years of experience in a support function within an IT environment

Professional skills

- A very good knowledge of Java
- You are ready to learn an in-house developed Front Office Application
- You preferably have some notions in the financial domain (financial markets, dealing room)
- You are customer focussed and a team player
- You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- You are a good communicator and stress resistant

Languages

- English (+ one of the national tongues)
