Role overview

Come join our Client as part of the UK Marketing Team as the Small Business Events Coordinator. We are looking for a talented marketer and events manager to drive all aspects of the event calendar - from booking, to stand design and build, lead pipeline management, stand collateral and staffing, reporting into the Group Marketing Manager. She or he will drive and coordinate all our event communication to customers both offline and online and leverage our planned events to increase brand awareness and engagement with small business owners across the UK .

Primary responsibilities:

- Manage relationship with the external event agencies to deliver best in class event programmes
- from design, to execution, visitor engagement and event pipeline nurture
- Manage program spending to ensure spending is within budget and properly tracked
- Actively project manages the schedule of ongoing events and reports on and analyses results, distilling for key learning and implications
- Manages event staffing needs - recruiting from sales team, training on event programme and ensuring event objectives are clearly communicated and delivered
- Gathers and communicates inputs necessary for creative teams to deliver output
- Reviews creative versions for accuracy
- Works cross-functionally to inform, influence and oversee event stand build, messaging and creative, collateral build, staffing and training, creating of small business workshops, deadlines are met, etc.

Person Specification:

- Proven event management experience
- Proven track record in driving event programmes to completion, involving all stakeholders effectively and achieving business objectives
- Operates independently and efficiently to manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects simultaneously and successfully.
- Strong analytical and problem solving orientation
- Successfully completed team-oriented, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail that this person was responsible for coordinating
- Flair for ambiguity and infectious can do' attitude
- Demonstrated ability and self-motivation to excel within an environment of change, start-up mentality and a drive for continuous improvement
- Balanced individual who brings a smile and can do' motivation to work every day
