Position Summary;

Directs events and meeting staging staff and projects. Provides event production and meeting support services for varied internal clients, assuring that professional standards and client objectives are reached. Ensures that strategic direction of projects is in line with organizational objectives and business plan Lead position in events and staging groups.

Education:

Education License/Certification: Bachelors degree in communications, business, related field or equivalent experience.

Qualifications:

- 5 years experience in event management with increasing complexity of event specifications. Extensive experience in project or event operations management.
- 3 years Experience in supervisory or lead role with demonstrated ability te lead teams and manage multiple high priority events
- Thorough understanding of event operations, meeting planning, staging and related industry best practices`
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills in a wide range CF settings including physicians, management and staff at all levels,
- Excellent written Communication Skills for writing project proposals, status reports, and internal communications.

Duties:

- Lead and develop teams comprised of event staff, video producers, AV technicians, engineers and support staff, leading Strategy and project plan formation for event activities that are broad in scope and may involve multiple functional areas, Service areas or divisions.
- Provide direction for staff to ensure that services and processes are cost effective and meet client objectives. Implement and improve workflow and operational practices.
- Provide staff management including hiring, development, motivation, performance evaluation and coaching for diverse and multidisciplinary staff.
- Consult with Clients determining event specifications and budgets. Partner and collaborate with all levels of management to provide leadership and direction towards meeting events and staging objectives. Educate and instruct clients on aspects of event execution.
- Develop project plans and processes that identify key issues problems` approaches, and metrics. Negotiate staff assignments and resource allocation.
- Anticipate and assign operational tasks including graphics production management, guest list contact and follow-up, printed materials, database development and management, registration, decor, photography, audiovisual technology, facilities, logistics and catering.

Partner with external event professionals, vendors and associations. - Manage and forecast starting and team changes to accommodate changing workloads and project flow. Provide guidance to teams on productivity and performance issues.
- Develop processes and communication patterns to support high-functioning and collaborative team environment, encouraging joy and fun.
- Develop and monitor operating and project budgets, including forecasting annual capital budget needs.
- Prioritize and handle multiple clients, projects and deadlines.
- Formulate and monitor plans for professional and department development, supporting growth in operations and business skills through formal and informal training.
- Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and licenser requirements (if applicable), and client's internal policies and procedures.

In addition to defined technical requirements. accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors and principles defined by the client Service Quality Credo, the Mission as well as specific departmental organizational initiatives. Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers contracted providers and vendors
