PURPOSE

M&G are looking to recruit a strong and experienced END USER COMPUTING DEVELOPMENT MANAGER with Fixed Income.

The EUC team is responsible for building technical software solutions for the Fixed Income business in a rapid manner with the level of quality assurance. The team plan, manage and deliver small-mid size software development projects across front and Middle Office functional areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Project management responsibility to initially size and then track delivery
- Stakeholder management to manage scope, testing and end to end delivery expectations
- Management of a team of five developers (senior and junior)
- Escalate issues as appropriate to management
- Active management of existing application estate of circa 70 including decommissioning, support and maintenance, Greenfield development and migration to strategic platforms
- Collaboration/interface with the Business Analysts and Project Management teams for larger development project with more complex requirements
- Working with Group Information Systems team on technical development standards, source code controls, testing and deployment tools

PERSONAL SKILLS

- Microsoft development (.NET/SQL) experience needs preferably in the FINANCIAL SECTOR
- Proactive and delivery focussed with excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- A passion for technology
- A self-starter with proven track record of delivery on business critical systems
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships managing the team and outward to other people/teams
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables concurrently
- Have a genuine interest in expanding their knowledge and understanding of the challenges and developments impacting systems and operations in the team

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

- Asset Management - Front Office (REQUIRED)
- Fixed Income experience (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience in messaging between Order Management Systems and dealing systems and end to end trade life cycle
- Must have team management/leading experience
