ETL SENIOR ANALYST

DESCRIPTION:
Senior Data Management Analyst will work with internal customers to understand requirements and iteratively develop reports, queries, stored procedures, and ETL jobs to report on data from various KP Internal systems using SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MS Access and MS Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs, develops and tests complex Extract, Transformation, and Load routines.

Has experience developing and maintaining Extraction, Transformation and Loading scripts using Informatica tool.

Has experience converting Business Information into Data Models

Designs and implements an enterprise data warehouse infrastructure including data marts, data models/dimensions and Meta data registry.

Must understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements for an enterprise Business Intelligence platform.

Develops, documents and maintains a formal description of the data and data structures.

Has knowledge in Data Flow Diagrams and ability to articulate Data flows in both business and IT terms from upstream application to downstream application

Supports Data Analysis in numerous business driven initiatives intended to transform the sales and renewal process

Researches and evaluates alternative database solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the project, ensuring consistency with enterprise direction

Writes complex SQL statements and stored procedures to collect, analyze, and report on data across multiple functional and line of business systems in response to customer requirements

Consults with business and technical clients and development areas in the design and implementation of small to medium projects.

Communicates with vendors to resolve issues with vendor products

Is an expert in SQLs and has high familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access and DB2 databases

Provides direction, guidance, and technical support to clients, applications, and operations areas

Develops technical and analytical skills of other resources.

Has a good understanding of interface technologies, business rules and data exchange across interface.

Collaborates with physical database designers to develop alternative solutions for meeting complex and conflicting requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Five (5) + years of related experience in developing and maintaining Extraction, Transformation and Loading scripts using Informatica tool

Five (5) + years of related experience in designing and implementing data warehouse system

Three (3) + years of related experience design, testing, implementation, control and maintenance of organization's logical and relational databases across platforms and computing environments.

Bachelor's degree in related field OR four (4) years of directly related equivalent experience.

Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in ETL.

Has Full knowledge of industry best practices.

Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in Data warehousing.
