ETL Developer

SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION

To augment our delivery teams we are looking for a Senior Informatica developer (6+ years of experience) .

The role consists in developing ETL solutions, with a highly consultative approach.

The candidate would need to bring capabilities and experience from a variety of projects and consulting engagements.

The aspects to be covered in this role are, depending on the project/assignment:
~ Consultancy: Ability to define and implement ETL best practices
~ Developer: Develop Informatica ETL solutions

Key Accountabilities
- Development and design of ETL code.
- Aligning the development in accordance with the client Strategic direction, managing exceptions, and effectively communicating solutions and their justification to relevant stakeholders
- Participates in proposals, creates content and/or solution. Ensures quality estimates, leveraging past data, experience, other forms of estimation, other teams, etc.

Key Competencies
- Proven track record in working in large engagements with a minimum 5 years of experience
- Understand business requirements communicated through either BRD or emails or orally and translate them to technical requirements
- Should be a hands-on developer who can design and develop required ETL solution using Informatica Power Center suite of components
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and extreme complexity
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Ability to work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of estimation methodologies and SDLC processes is a basic requirement
- Knowledge and experience in Agile methodology preferred

Knowledge
- Experience of on-site/off-shore delivery model
- Good Knowledge of BI/ETL concepts ( Hands On )
- Exposure on Data Model design ( Logical and Physical )
- Good Knowledge on various data design models
- Estimate effort for implementing solution
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Bi-lingual in Dutch and English (written, spoken)
- Good Communication Skills
- Informatica is a must together with other ETL tool.

QUALIFICATIONS

B.Sc., M.Sc or similar academic degree.
