ETL Developer

- 6 month contract
- Close to public transport
- Large organisation

Duties:

Analysis of source systems to determine data extract requirements

Analysis of requirements documentation to determine and apply business rules and logic to data transformations.

Design and implementation of data warehouse, data mart and ODS schemas where applicable to support reporting requirements.

Development of Extract, Transform and Load processes

Documentation of ETL processes and data warehouse interface

Required skills:

Experience in documenting functional and design specifications for ETL development

Minimum 5 years experience in ETL development (Informatica highly preferred)

Extensive experience in logical and physical relational database analysis, design and engineering including traditional Entity-Relationship Modelling.

Experience with SQL and other standard database query tools

Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server

Extensive data warehouse architecture knowledge including star schema, ODS, extract methodologies

Development experience through the analysis/design phase of SDLC

Self initiative and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical users.
