ETL Developer

Essential Functions:
Lead, design and develop Datawarehouse solutions using different architecture, design, and modelling techniques.
Work with business users to translate requirements into system flows, data flows, data mappings etc., and develop solutions to complex business problems.
Lead the creation of all design review artifacts during project design phase, facilitate design reviews, capture review feedback, and schedule additional detailed design sessions as necessary.
Interact with Release Management, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Architecture, Database Modeling Support, other Development teams and Operations as required.
Lead and contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle for Enterprise Data applications including current production and any future applications.
Create and enhance administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures, adopting clientIT and industry best practice guidelines, standards, and procedures.
Manages the MSA (Manage Service Agreement) which provides production support for Health Plan Data Warehouses and provides small enhancement support.
Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
Serves as the interface between business components and technical entities, and transforms business requirements into technical specifications via physical solution design documents and creating complex data models.
Creates technical statements of work for off-shore entities.
Evaluating and making recommendations based upon off-shore Level of Effort (LOE) documents.
Serves as the Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for off-shore entities and internal employees.
Leads design reviews.
Serves on the intake review committee and making high level LOEs for work to be completed internally.
Evaluating the performance of off-shore MSA vendor performance.
Analysis of technical specifications.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in design and development of large scale warehouse solutions.
Minimum of 5 years of ETL experience using Informatica.
Must have experience with Informatica at both the server and the client level.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical lead.
Strong development analysis skills and qualified to technically lead a team of developers.
Strong programming experience with Oracle databases and solid knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting.
Strong job scheduling experience using Tivoli.
Strong experience in Data Quality, Source Systems Analysis, Business Rules Validation, Source Target Mapping Design, Performance Tuning, and High Volume Data Loads.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Experience with (and/or working knowledge of) one or more of the following: ClearCase, ClearQuest, Remedy PCM Plus.
High energy, self-motivation, attention to detail, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility to work additional hours on an as needed basis to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in parsing XML data via Informatica is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems are desired.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
