ETL Data Stage Consultant

We are currently looking for a ETL Data stage consultant/developer for a Brisbane based consultancy for a 6 month contract. The successful candidate will primarily be working on federal and state government projects, and have hands-on ETL development experience along with data stage experience. Solution Design experience is highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with:

- IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer
- MetaData Workbench, and;
- InfoSphere Business Glossary

You will ideally have exposure to:

- Analyse, design, develop and test ETL packages.Writing ETL Specifications for Data Stage Development
- Liaise with vendors, BAU and business end users for smooth deployment of solutions
- ETL specifications for new and modified ETL jobs developed to meet the requirements within the BI Programs
- Liaise with Business Analysts and Application SMEs to analyse and model information obtained from Client workshops, the Enterprise architecture, source systems and Corporate reports
- Follow industry best practice techniques for Data Analysis and Dimensional design and modelling. Kimball dimensional modelling method preferred.
- Promote architecture principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programs
- Metadata management; collection, storage and publishing to business community
- Demonstrated ability to specify, develop, test and resolve defects associated with ETL development in a structured project environment.
- Data Stage (Enterprise Parallel) development experience in a data warehouse environment
