Estimator

Instrumentation and Control / I&C Estimator with current experience estimating and preparing bids for industrial I&C and control panels. You must be able to intrepret drawings and estimate time, material and man hours. Must have a broad knowledge of industrial controls, instrumentation, panels and automation systems for water /wastewater, manufacturing, and other process control applications. Direct hire position (client will also consider contract) with a systems integrator in the north Orange County, CA area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create a control panel BOMs from a description and desired functionality
- Recommend complete control systems to a customer to meet their desired functionality (PLCs, communication, instruments, SCADA software, extras)
- Prepare accurate bids for projects

REQUIREMENTS

- Current / recent experience estimating automation systems for industrial and process applications
- Must be able to prepare BOMs and estimates for control panels and I&C components for industrial process control applications
- Understanding of system integration business and UL panel shop. Any work experience at a System Integration business is highly desirable
- Knowledge of UL, ISA and NEMA
