Experienced Estimator required ASAP - Glasgow/Edinburgh - 6 month contract

My public sector client requires an experienced Estimator to work as part of a team in Glasgow/Edinburgh over the next few months.

Main purpose of role:-
1. Provide a cost estimating service meeting the clients internal costing needs
across a circa £2.3bn Delivery programme spanning the period 2015-20. 
2. Estimate capital cost of projects for a Delivery Plan over the next few years, scoped and sized by Process Engineers, Asset Planners and Designers to Capex 2 level data and below to allow for high level estimates. Typical project cost in the range £0.25 - £5m. 
3. To develop and price projects using the client Project Estimating Form (PEF),
Engineering Estimating System (EES) and estimating from first principles.

Key Accountabilities/Tasks

1.Produce project cost estimates using EES, PEF and estimating from first principles. The output data will be used to support investment delivery and effective asset management decisions.
2.Estimate capital cost of MEICA, Civil, Capital Maintenance, Water and Waste Water projects scoped by Asset Planners. The size of which may be determined by existing process components or Asset Planners at key project approvals stages.
3.Support the development and maintenance of PEF, EES and excel pricing models to ensure robust cost estimating.
4.Capture and manage cost data consistently to ensure projects are fully auditable and captured in a consistent manner for anticipated WICS Reporter audits.
5.Estimate capital cost of projects scoped by engineers and sized by designers at key project stages. Typical project cost in the range £0.25 - £5m.
6.Meet the cost estimating needs of other functions of the client to support Regulatory Returns, Benchmarking and the audit of capital projects.
7.Capture all required project data within the Department Estimating Register.
8.To work as part of the Cost Management Integrated Teams to develop and deliver costing solutions, including ad-hoc analyses and system developments smoothing
