Estimator

Engineering & construction client is looking for a Project Estimator with 3-15 years of experience creating construction estimates for power plant or similar heavy industrial plant EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have specific experience estimating steam & power plant system design projects (coal, wood, cogen, pulp & paper, biomass, & similar boiler related projects). Our client prefers candidates local to Atlanta, GA, but will consider all candidate that need minimum relocation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare detailed estimates including feasibility, budget, and detailed lump sum estimates
- You will develop prices of equipment to be procured & budget prices for subcontract packages (Concrete, Steel, Mechanical Erection, Piping, etc.)
- In most cases you will go to market to get the pricing rather than developing detailed take offs
- About 50% of the time you will be responsible for generating project estimates and the other 50% of the time you will support sales proposals

REQUIREMENTS

- 3-15 years of experience as an Estimator producing construction estimates for power plant or similar heavy industrial plant construction projects
- BS degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or Construction Management
- Specific experience on steam & power plant system design projects (coal, wood, cogen, pulp & paper, biomass, & similar boiler related projects) would be ideal
- You must have solid experience using MS Excel as you will help build a vendor database using a proprietary program on Excel
