Estimator

Immediate need for a Senior Estimator with Power Plant, construction, and piping estimating experience is needed in the New York City metro area for a leading engineering and construction firm. Must be highly organized with significant power plant or cogen plant and piping estimating experience with a construction background. This is a temp-to-hire position with competitive hourly rate and contractor benefits. Local candidates preferred. Per diem may be available for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform detailed and accurate estimation of assigned powerplant, mechanical, piping, and construction projects
- Generate proposals for assigned construction projects
- Determine the installation, testing, commissioning, and training requirements for the project
- Travel to client sites as needed

REQUIREMENTS

- You must have at least 5 - 8 years of general contractor estimating experience in power process, construction, power plants, piping and equipment installation projects
- Must have some prior field knowledge and experience and experience estimating from the contractor, engineering firm or consultant side
- Valid Driver's license
- Must have power and process improvement experience
