Estimator

3 x Estimators required for varying contracts in either Edinburgh or Glasgow with large utilities company.

Key Accountabilities

- Produce project cost estimates using the Engineering Estimating System capital data to support investment delivery and effective asset management decisions
- Undertake analysis of contracts and operational activities to maintain currency and accuracy of cost data for input to EES
- Estimate capital cost of capital maintenance projects scoped by Asset Planners, size determined by existing process components
- Capture and manage cost data for use within the EES, ensuring that cost data provision obligations are met

Experience required

- The role requires specialist technical knowledge in civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process engineering. The role also requires a general awareness of the water industry and specific understanding of costing capital projects in the water industry
- Requires extensive specialist knowledge of cost estimating systems and data gathering and analysis tools
- Project Management skills.
