Estimator required ASAP - 6 month Contract - Edinburgh or Glasgow

Main purpose of role:-

1.Provide a cost estimating service meeting internal costing needs across a major capital investment programme due to rollout over the next few years.
2.Develop, maintain and operate the client Engineering Estimating System

Key Accountability's/Tasks

1.Produce project cost estimates using the Engineering Estimating System capital data to support investment delivery and effective asset management decisions.
2.Undertake analysis of contracts and operational activities to maintain currency and accuracy of cost data for input to EES.
3.Estimate capital cost of capital maintenance projects scoped by Asset Planners, size determined by existing process components or Asset Planners at key project approvals stages.
4.Support the development and maintenance of the Engineering Estimating System to ensure robust cost estimating.
5.Capture and manage cost data for use within the EES, ensuring that cost data provision obligations are met.
6.Estimate capital cost of projects scoped by consultant engineers, sized by consultant designers key project stages.
7.Meet the cost estimating needs of other functions within the SW to support Regulatory Returns and Benchmarking & Audit of capital projects.
8.Prepare and manage the audit trail for cost estimates for anticipated Reporter audits.
9.To work as part of the Integrated Teams to develop and deliver costing solutions, including ad-hoc analyses and system developments and smoothing the cyclical nature of workload.
10.If required, operate within a wider team providing project scope and cost estimates as part of the development of future capital investment.
