Estimator

Our client is seeking Estimators for various contract roles based in Cumbria.

Project Overview:
To provide an effective Project Estimating function (including change control) for a major project or multi-projects whether operations, maintenance, revenue or capital.

Objective:
* To maintain compliance with standards and expectations concerning safety Quality Accountabilities
* To comply with programme controls procedures, processes and systems to ensure that quality and consistency is maintained.
* To contribute to improving the quality and performance of estimating processes Functional Accountabilities
* To provide a Cost Estimating service for the Lifetime Plan and any consequential change controls
* To prepare detailed sanction estimates and order of cost estimates
* To advise the project team on all aspects of estimating
* To identify the appropriate estimating norm for the type of estimate being prepared
* To provide feedback to the Programme Office on the suitability of norms for the work to be undertaken
* To support and facilitate project risk management processes incorporating risk elements within project estimates in conjunction with the Risk Co-ordinator/Project Risk Practitioner Measures Project Estimates
* Project estimates are produced in accordance with the business requirements, systems and processes
* Formal handover meetings are held and documented with Cost Engineers to provide an understanding of the detail and to enable control estimate development.
* Estimate assumptions are formally documented and regularly reviewed and are based on demonstrated performance values wherever these are available.

Risk Management:
* Project estimates have a supporting risk register and mitigation costs/measures are included within the estimate
* The basis of estimate clearly identifies those risks included in contingency calculations

Deliverables:
Context Reports to the Senior or Lead Estimator for day to day line management activities and reports to the Lead Estimator for functional accountabilities. Interfaces with the Work Scope Manager, Planners, Cost Engineers Risk Co-ordinator/Practitioner and Financial Management Team.

Pay Rate: £25.00 P/H - £40.00 P/H LTD
