Estates Project Manager

Estates Project Manager - Contract role based in London

A proven track record of delivering a number of large, complex estates projects.

PRINCE 2 Practitioner with demonstrable experience.

Understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, risk management, value management techniques, sustainability issues, EC Directives, H&S legislation, Building Control Regulations.

Knowledge of Construction contracts, tender evaluation and building design processes.

Member of Association of Project Management.

Current driving licence.

Experience in the public sector.

Willingness to travel, with occasional overnight absence from home and when necessary to work unsociable and flexible hours.

Travel to sites/meetings in the UK may be required

SC enhanced security clearance is required

To manage concurrently a number of strategic estates projects, delivering to time, within budget and to a standard of quality with Governance standards and PRINCE2 methodology.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the project managers are representatives acting as the single focal point of contact for day to day management of interest in a project.

They are responsible and accountable for delivering their allocated estates projects on time, to quality and budget. Project budgets start from about £100k rising to circa £25m and occasionally above but typically range from £1m to £10m.

Each Project Manager is generally responsible for 4-5 projects at a time and is solely responsible for authorising expenditure on each project up to the project budget allocation.
