They are seeking a qualified engineer with good experience with oracle ERP systems. Your role will be to maintain effective engineering design control, through structuring of materials in the Oracle ERP system in accordance to company standards & procedures. Job Specification: Responsibilities will include: - Using ERP system to perform transactions such as new part creation, BOMs and routings to support the process of product introduction, in conjunction with Design, and Project Engineers, Production Engineers, Supply Chain & Planning coordinators - Structuring new designs in ERP system (Oracle) and CRM system (Siebel). - Compiling Bills of Materials and other essential documentation (ISO9001). - Driving release of new parts through company processes to final order release. - Assisting in advance procurement and material planning using ERP system. - Restructuring ERP information for improved process flow. - Setting up and maintaining product configurations in ERP system. - Support any requirement for reporting on BOM/Routing change history - Coordination with the Engineering department to ensure correct information transfer and to assist with issues during build. - Ability to work on multiple projects at different phases in project lifecycle at the same time, and able to switch between priorities when required. - Working to agreed timescales and communicating progress at regular intervals to all levels within the business. - Exceptional focus on Right First Time Design to Manufacture and minimizing warranty costs. - Data integrity management of the MRP system periodically - ensuring all information is accurate - Relating new engineering drawings onto suppliers and the shop floor In return they are seeking someone with the following skills and experience: - Experience in performing engineering or operational transactions preferably using a Oracle ERP system - Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment - Knowledge of ISO 9001 - An Engineering qualification - ideally to degree level - To have held a similar role for 3 years
