ERP Business Analyst

EDT are working with an established organisation based in Sydney that are looking to engage an experienced Business Analyst that has worked extensively on ERP based projects.

The role of the BA on this project will be to gather, document and analyse varying stages of business requirements, translate them into functional specifications for approval by project sponsors or stakeholders, whilst ensuring compliance with the project methodologies and enterprise architectures

SOME OF THE KEY ASPECTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE MAY INCLUDE:

- Meeting with key business stakeholders to understand business needs, gather information and analyse requirements.
- Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of existing business operations to establish a base for developing improved structures, processes and systems.
- Analysing work flow to create process and information models and identify areas of potential improvement.
- Working with the Program Team and relevant stakeholders to develop Needs Analysis documents describing required change that accurately reflects stated issues.

SO WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A BUSINESS ANALYST?

- An experienced Business Analyst with 3+ years of working experience with ERP.
- High-level analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to research and to apply problem solving skills to complex technical problems
- Extensive experience in developing user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, test cases & procedures and user documentation.
- Outstanding ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs
- Demonstrable and comprehensive experience of in contemporary business analysis techniques and tools
- Demonstrable and comprehensive experience in stakeholder management involving stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrable and comprehensive knowledge of full system development life cycle, its typical phases, the deliverables within the phases and the Business Analysts role within the phases
- Knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies, related concepts and frameworks
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline, or demonstrated advanced ability in business analysis
- Experience across a wide range of development environments and platforms.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
