Ericsson MPBN O&M Engineer

- Responsible for carrying out configuration of Mobile Packet Backbone Network (VAS, MSS & IN) on need basis.
- Configuration Change Planning: effectively plan to implement all Configuration activities related to Routers (Juniper, SmartEdge) & Switches Extreme as per the network requirements.
- Configuration Change Planning: effectively plan to implement all Configuration activities related to GGSN (Juniper M120), SGSN & IPWorks Server as per the network requirements.
- Change implementation: need to carry out changes after preparing MOP/SOP for planned activity according to severity.
- Pre/Post change checks: to ensure that the configuration activity has been carried out properly without any impact on services, Pre/post activity checks and testing will have to be done.
- Problem solving: must be able to pro-actively analyze problems and determine solutions based on the facts.
- Interpersonal skills: must be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication. Ability to listen to others and exchange information and knowledge clearly and concisely.
- Team working: must be able to work closely with the project team and other internal departments.
- To ensure the change request are handled so as to meet SLAs well within the time limits.
- Interface with the other organizational entities like CPM,ELS,GSDC etc.
- Ability to perform under time constrains depending upon the business requirements.
