Equity Derivatives Middle Office Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Allegis Group Services are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

Position Description:

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for an Equity Derivatives Middle Office Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of Operations Analyst, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Validation and processing of Equity Derivatives trades (structured and vanilla) within agreed deadlines
- Process, support and control tasks related to the trading desks supported (examples include fixing maintenance, corporate action processing, coupon and expiry processing)
- Point of contact for day to day BAU support for Exotic TMG activities and resolution queries arising from downstream processing
- Identification of risk and control issues and exceptions and deviations from expected procedure and escalation to management as appropriate
- Identification and assessment of opportunities for process developments and improvements
- Understanding of the Operations strategy within Investment Banking and the role of a Middle Office Team within the Trade Lifecycle

Desire to contribute to the continued success of M&IB Transaction Management Group in RBS COMPETENCIES:

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Detailed knowledge of Equity Derivatives and Structured Derivatives
- Proven ability to resolve complex Operational issues (independently and ideally also coordinating other parties to deliver resolution)
- Strong experience in an Operations role and an understanding of and the pressures faced by a Middle Office team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
