EPOS/POS/Retail Systems Developer: London

Progressive are seeking a highly skilled POS development Analyst for a major international retailer based in central London. This is a superb opportunity for the successful individual to play a leading role in the development and configuration of all POS based systems. Key accountabilities on a day to day basis will include: Solutions delivery on all POS based projects Configuration of POS based solutions Acting as a technical consultant for POS within the business Working with other cross platform teams Stakeholder management at all levels Documentation/ user training In order to be considered you will need a strong breadth of POS development including;

Solid experience on Point of Sale systems, e.g. Retail Java, BTE Store 6 and BeanStor

An understanding of the Java runtime environment and application servers, e.g. Tomcat, IIS

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database issue

Knowledge of operational aspects of IT - RTO, RPO, DR, Business Continuity

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server technology

Knowledge of Deployment Technology such as Symantic Ghost

Broad understanding of IT technical knowledge and practices
