ABOUT THE ROLE
CapitaTravel and Events require an EPISERVER.NET DEVELOPER to undertake the analysis, design, coding and testing of Capita's Travel and Events and to provide expertise in the use and implementation of the EpiServer Content Management System.
To contribute to Capita's knowledge base and influence the strategic development of Capita's technology platforms in the continuous improvement within the Travel and Events systems.. The role involves planning and leading core EpiServer development in a significant integration project.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- EpiServer Core Development
- Understand and Translate and Deliver requirements
- Undertake the analysis, design, coding and testing of software products/projects as directed by the Head of Software Development.
- To work on the delivery of new product and services to enhance the Travel and Events systems
- Maintain and support existing software as directed by the Head of Software Development.
- Exercise best efforts and known best practice to ensure that software performs accurately, efficiently and reliably.
- Employ known patterns and best practice to ensure software is maintainable, reusable and logically structured.
- Exercise best efforts and known best practice to ensure that software is documented and annotated appropriately to enable the understanding and support by other software developers.
- Take an active interest in emerging Microsoft technologies.
- Make recommendations regarding the systems and software..
PREREQUISITE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least one full life cycle inEPISERVER CMS FRONT END DEVELOPMENT
- At least 5 years expertise with core .NET Server Back End Development and Business Integration in an Agile environment
- C# and SQL Server
- Azure
- Microsoft Net Server/Microsoft Cloud
- Greenfield software development projects
- End to end solution development in a commercial environment
- Relationship Management and excellent inter-personal, communication and conflict management skills
YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE
- EPISERVER. NET FRONT END DEVELOPMENT
- EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR TEAM-BASED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ROLE, DEVELOPING AND SUPPORTING ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS
- Setting up new complex EpiServer solutions
- Managing ongoing EpiServer solutions
- CHANGE MANAGEMENT IN MANAGING AN EPISERVER PROJECT THROUGH STAGES OF DEV, TEST PRE-PRODUCTION AND PRODUCTION.
- Solid .NET Microsoft Technologies
- Worked on large projects having completed several end to end life cycle projects
- .NET framework
- Microsoft Tools
- Solution Design - Taking requirements and designing a solution that meets those needs; to include selection of technology, tools, patterns/practices, maintainability, reliability, performance
- Oriented Design (OO)- To include knowledge and application of common design pattern
- Database design and development, including use of SQL, stored procedures, triggers
- Use of or experience with mid-tier/service technologies such as web services, WCF, windows services
- Strong user interface design and build skills.
- Web development (using all the relevant skills in HTML/CSS/Scripting/etc) or Windows Desktop development
- Agile SCRUM would be advantageous
- Web Design
- Windows desktop application design
- Experience of new/emergent Microsoft development technologies
